Ethical fashion - capsule wardrobe inspiration Each day I get more eco-conscious and concerned with how my life impacts on Planet Earth, so now it’s time to tackle the wardrobe. I spurned fast fashion a few of years back, shops I won’t name upset me deeply with their lack of regard for people, animals, and our environment. But I do love to add a few new pieces to my outfit repertoire each season – so I thought it would be great every now and then to share the brands I have discovered that are making kinder fashion with transparent production, fair working policies and use organic or eco-friendly fibres in their clothes. These posts are not sponsored but collaborations with the brands to share the good word of the ethical fashion revolution! First up it is ‘Thoughtful Clothing’ brand Braintree. Keep reading for my Summer picks from their collection and a 20% discount this May. Ethical fashion - capsule wardrobe inspiration I mostly choose classic pieces and have some items of clothing in my cupboard that have been with me since I was a teen (still being worn)! Each summer I do love to find a versatile crisp white top – I will invariably later dye it charcoal grey as I am a muddy plant re-potting, occasional water colouring, jam on toast dropping kind of lady – and natural fabrics dye beautifully for a second lease of life. This Hemp Tunic above also covers my backside so that is an extra bonus! ;)Ethical fashion - capsule wardrobe inspiration I was drawn to lots of blues and white over at Braintree. Breezy coastal colours that remind me of Mediterranean sunshine and being outdoors. It also means I could easily throw together any of these items and make an outfit without having to peruse my wardrobe for an age each day, working from home means it is tempting to throw on my joggers and a loose sweater but reading a couple of Marie Kondo books has put a swift end to that! I hope you will find some outfit inspiration here with my relaxed sustainable working wardrobe ideas.Ethical fashion - capsule wardrobe inspiration Kara lightweight organic cotton chambray dress and Karima T-shirt tunic dress with hemp and organic cotton. I see hazy summer days and coastal walks in these a plenty!Ethical fashion - capsule wardrobe inspiration Karima hemp T-shirt and Olena hemp tunic – perfect for throwing on with jeans or trousers.Ethical fashion - capsule wardrobe inspiration Nalu Kua organic cotton jumpsuit and Randa organic cotton chambray dress. I have never worn a jumpsuit but this beautiful pattern makes me want to try one out – and the soft blue dress is already in my wardrobe!Ethical fashion - capsule wardrobe inspiration Queenie organic denim jeans in classic indigo, Mangata sustainable hemp and rayon vest in flattering length and Mallow hemp cardigan to throw on if it gets chilly.

Are you already a fan of Braintree’s thoughtful clothing? If not I hope you’ll pop on over and see what else they have to tempt you over to the ethical fashion side of the street. You can also use the code LOBSTER20 at checkout over on the Braintree site for 20% off a guilt-free summer wardrobe update – until May 31 :) xEthical fashion - capsule wardrobe inspiration
